CARL JUNCTION, Mo. – Sunday afternoon, tired parents and children arrived at CJ, this time as national archery champions.

Tami Fredickson, Archer Coach, tells us with a big smile, “we just came back from the western national championship, and it went really well!

  • Individuals ranked 1st, 2nd and 5th in 3D
  • Individual ranked 4th in Bullseye
  • The team won the Western National Championship for 3D – Elementary
  • The team won second place (2nd) at Bullseye – Elementary

At Carl Junction High School, as the bus rolled through the crowd, the crowd had grown to at least 200. Signs, banners, smiles, cheers and lots of Bulldog Pride.

Coach Frederickson tells us: “This let these children know how much their community supports them, loves them and is proud of them. I’m super proud of them, they’re a great group of kids. They go beyond. Ask them to jump? They say how high. They’re just a phenomenal group of kids.”

Carl Junction police drove the bus and its growing entourage through town. And Carl Junction Fire Dept announced their arrival with continuous honking on their horn.
