Dragon boats arrive ahead of the annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival – Bemidji Pioneer

BEMIDJI – The four-day Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival extravaganza came closer on Monday morning when the dragon boats arrived at Paul Bunyan Park.

A dragon boat is launched Monday, August 1, 2022 at Paul Bunyan Park in preparation for the 16th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival, scheduled for August 3-6, on Lake Bemidji.

The 16th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival will be held Wednesday, August 3 through Saturday, August 6 on the waterfront of Lake Bemidji.

Here is an overview of the full festival program:

  • 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Dragon’s Den Open: Sponsor Appreciation Night
  • 4pm to 7pm – Dragon’s Den Entertainment: Ronda and Orlando
  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Opening of the Merchandise Tent
  • 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Practice sessions, the public is invited to watch
  • 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Food Court open
  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Opening of the Merchandise Tent
  • 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Practice sessions, the public is invited to watch
