Israeli Navy attacks Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza – – IMEMC News
An Israeli navy vessel on Wednesday attacked Palestinian fishing boats in two areas near the shore of Gaza City, in the besieged coastal region.
Eyewitnesses said navy ships fired numerous live ammunition at fishing boats and used water cannons in Palestinian waters in the area of al-Waha and as-Sudaniyya in north- west of Gaza City,
They added that the attack caused no casualties but forced the fishermen to leave without being able to fish to support their families.
On Tuesday, several Israeli military vehicles, including bulldozers, invaded Palestinian farmland east of the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and bulldozed several sections while firing live ammunition.
The attacks are part of frequent Israeli violations against Palestinians, especially fishermen, farmers, herders and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and have claimed dozens of casualties, including deaths, in addition to serious material damage and the confiscation of many boats after kidnapping the fishermen.
In March last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that resulted in the deaths of three fishermen.
