MTI Delivers Six Boats in Time for Seventh Annual Florida Keys Owners Fun Race

The Wentzville, Mo.-based team. Marine Technology Inc.is holding a sold-out MTI Owners Fun Run in the Florida Keys for the seventh consecutive year over the next few days and, once again, the company is delivering several new boats in conjunction with the event.

To be exact, MTI is handing out six new boats in time for delighted owners to roam around while exploring the peaceful paradise of the archipelago with dozens of like-minded people.

According to Taylor Scism, MTI’s customer relations manager, 59 MTI customers and loads of their friends were on hand for Thursday’s fun ride that left North Miami. Haulover Marine Center– the home of MTI’s concierge and service team – and landed at Gilbert’s Resort in Key Largo for lunch followed by the group’s home base until Sunday (or Monday for some), Hawks Cay Resort on the duck key.

It’s always a cool sight as the MTI fleet departs Miami for its Duck Key destination.

The list of new MTIs launched for the first time this week includes the company’s latest quad-powered MTI-V 42 demo model mercury race 450R engines and some new MTI-V 50 luxury performance center consoles featuring five Mercury Racing 450R engines owned by Patrick Clark of Las Vegas and Zane Mead of Texas.

With a host of 36ft to 52ft sterndrive catamarans competing in the race, Oklahoma’s Jake Nossaman got the chance to drive his new 48ft catamaran powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 1100 engines. radical boat is a good complement to his five-engine MTI-V 50 which he took delivery of last summer and which was featured as a fold-out spotlight model in Speed ​​On The Water 2021 Year In Review magazine.

MTI also delivered some stunning new 390X catamarans, both powered by twin Mercury Racing 450R engines and both owned by Arizona-based customers John Angal and Gary Lange.

The event was originally limited to 50 boats in September when registrations opened and booked the next day, but MTI was able to find additional space for more customers and make several people happy that they hadn’t missed what should be . an amazing experience.
