Pembroke River Rally: Incredible footage as boats take on water
THE famous Pembroke River Rally launched in glorious conditions yesterday, July 9th.
Dozens of boats were on the water at Millpond in conditions closer to the Florida Keys.
A flotilla of boats has been organized on Quayside by West Wales Maritime Heritage.
The skippers assembled at Crow Pool just after midday and departed for Castle Pond which they reached just before 1.30pm.
Also in attendance were sea cadets from Milford Haven and ‘isea’ handcrafted surfwear who also provided some great imagery.
Various stalls were set up including an amazing selection from the Dawnus Gift Shop.
There were also barbecues, an ice cream van and quizzes for the kids.
Local resident Peter Kraus, who described the weather as “perfect”, said it was great to see everyone working together to organize the event.
“So much effort goes into putting this event together,” Mr. Kraus said, “especially from Pembroke City Council.
“It’s our way of saying thank you.”
