The Lions send three boats to head the Charles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Both Columbia Women’s Rowing and Heavyweight Rowing are set to compete at the 56th Head of the Charles, with the women’s team sending two Lions boats and the Heavyweights sending one boat to compete in the world’s largest two-day rowing event. October 23-24 on the Charles River.
The festivities begin Saturday, October 23 at 8 a.m. and the races will be streamed live via Youtube thank you to the chef of the Charles Regatta. Live results are also available and can be found by click here.
The women of Columbia will send a pair of V4+ boats to compete in two different events. The first will be Club Four, which kicks off Saturday at 12:27 p.m., with Esme Esme, Clara Cheng, Ishara Abbey, Jaia Ailard and Ashley Kim (COX) taking on water. The other V4+ boat will be in the Championship Four event, with Emily Kilroy, Elisa Luo, Lulu Gebbie, Caitlin Walsh and Tteja Senthilnathan (COX) at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 24.
On the heavyweight side, Columbia is sending on a V2 boat with John Theodore and Clay Watson the race in the doubles championship is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Saturday.
